What is this blog thing?

Welcome to the blog READ! This blog will be used as a kind of book club. I will choose a book for you young "bloggers" to read, and we will discuss what is happening in the book on this page. I am very excited to be starting this blog because I know so many great readers out there and am sure that all of them want to keep reading and enjoying books outside of the classroom. I hope everyone who joins in here will take it seriously and contribute to our conversations in a meaningful way. I will announce what book we will read shortly so stay tuned! I am going to the book store tomorrow to find us our first book ... oh the choices ... adventure, mystery, fantasy, graphic text, non-fiction- what shall we do?? :)
